Cloud-Connected Smart Bicycle

Cloud-Connected Smart Bicycle

This project was inspired by a real incident in which a child riding at high speed collided with my car. To improve cycling safety, I developed a smart bicycle that allows parents to monitor their child’s speed, health information, and real-time location through a cloud-connected mobile application.

The bicycle can be operated through both traditional pedals and app-based control. It also includes GPS tracking and an experimental assisted braking system designed to reduce the risk of accidents. Depending on the rider’s weight and operating conditions, the bicycle can reach speeds of up to approximately 40 km/h. This project received First Prize at an IEEE competition for its innovation and safety-focused design.
